Why would you take away the ability to dash? Then hide it somewhere obscure that if you overlook it, you can't retrieve it, and you can't progress.
You get punished for simply getting too close to the enemy, you stun yourself with cluncky attacks, and you fight with the same mob with the same weapon and same magic spell just in a different area.
