Castle Fantasia ~Erencia Senki~Forum

I need aid in trying to help install Studio e.go games, Castle Fantasia 3: Erencia Senki is one of many that pretty much has the same installation pattern, I tried following the readme.txt file step by step but to no avail can't get it to run, seems like there's some errors in regards to the .AVI ED (the video that plays the credits to the game) to run among some other things. If anyone is willing to aid me on here, or a Discord DM VC where I live stream the process to them, I'll be willing to receive the support, thank you.

This error occurs during the setup?
Are you using Locale Emulator or have you set Windows to run japanese unicode program?
Which Windows are you using?

I have checked again and the install process is ok on my Virtual Machine.
I'm using the Virtual Machine Windows 10 that is available here:

As a workaround, you can do that:
- Mount the disc1
- Copy the folder cf3r (that is located under game folder)
- Paste in a folder of your hardrive, let's say D:games
- Once the process is done, mount the disc2
- Copy the folder cf3r too
- Paste in the same folder as the previous one
- Apply the update/crack

I currently am on Windows 11, and have installed the Windows 10 Virtual Machine Firmware and yes I am Japanese System Locale and am using Locale Emulator, I was able to accomplish every step in the workaround you have mentioned successfully except for applying the crack, while in the midst of applying the crack it says it has issues locating the file/pattern, even after selecting the cf3r.exe after it says that it can't open file. Would you happen to know how exactly I should operate around this?

Have you applied the update before?

I have applied the update before playing, am I supposed to copy the update file into the actual game folder itself and paste it?

I opened up the game .exe and everything seems to function well except the music. Does the music play just fine on your end when you start a new game? For me, sound effects and character voices play fine, but there is a lack of background music. Perhaps both disks need to be mounted at the same time on Daemon Tools Lite? and if so does the Daemon Tools Lite on your virtual machine of Windows 10 have the ability to mount two disks?

I had the same issue, no music at all.
The renewal package contains 3 discs and I had only the Disc1 and Disc2.
So I have repacked the game with new links, please download the new archive.
The disc3 has the music folder, please check the readme to reinstall the game
or mount the disc3 and copy the folder music in the game folder.

I followed the new instructions on the download readme and was able to mount the third disc's music, solving my issue, thanks!

During this timeframe I have also reverted my whole entire PC from Windows 11 back to 10, (this was because the Windows 10 Virtual Machine's C drive space was vastly limited) and I tried booting up Castle Fantasia 3 to see if it would work fine without Windows 10 Virtual Machine, and I got it to work, music playing and all. Once again, thank you for aiding me in this endeavor!
