Game always crashes mid booting up, even after a successful installation

Hello,

You have to set your Windows' clock to Japanese, otherwise it will not work.
# Control Panel > Region and Language
Set the clock to japanese and apply.

Then run the file start.exe.

Hello, I've installed the game, but I'm also experiencing crashes like OP.
I've tried to run the game with JP locale, application profile (set to Japanese), switching the time to Japanese time, changing region to Japan, but none of these solutions have worked. Please take a look into this as I'm a big fan for Atelier Kaguya's eroge!

EDIT: Starting up the game through the 'Data' folder works just fine on CD.. I have no idea why it doesn't work outside of the CD

Did you try to uninstall/reinstall the game after switching to japanese locale + the japanese clock?

I have no issue again running the game directly from the install folder.

I have my system locale switched to Japanese by default, so this should not be an issue. For all other Atelier Kaguya games, I have not needed to switch the system's clock to JP time for the games to run. However, I'm willing to test it. I'm pretty sure there isn't a need to uninstall/reinstall after the switch to JP time/locale.

I just checked my windows update settings, realised there's a few windows updates that I may need to do. I'm currently downloading/installing these. I have also taken screenshots of my windows version below.

I will update my progress once I complete these updates.

EDIT:
Did the windows update, didn't fix the problem. Installed again. Didn't fix the problem.

EDIT2:
Fixed it! It's because I named my file with the full eroge name. The folder didn't register the % in the name, and when I renamed the file containing the eroge to just "Kajuu 100" it works perfectly.

If you have to rename the folder, this means you didn't install the game with one of the methods to run japanese program. Glad it worked for this one, but it will not work with some games.
